Summer dreaming...

A spectacular summer day with shimmers of sage green and touches of pink...the perfect day for a wedding at the historic Christ Church Cranbrook and a reception at Pine Lake Country Club for Stacy and Austin!

The majestic setting of Christ Church Cranbrook is most every bride's dream. The long aisle sets the stage for the seriousness that soon begins with vows that speak of a lifetime of committments.

After the wedding, a quick trip to Cranbrook House and Gardens for photos was important as this was the stomping grounds for the groom's schooling until he and the bride went on to higher learning at Michigan State. The setting at Cranbrook was the perfect backdrop for this graduate and it was the perfect picture day in the gardens!

It had to be a summer wedding for this bride who is a teacher and who wanted time to create and enjoy the special touches of her wedding day. Stacy so carefully orchestrated a unique linen look with adding a band of pink satin to her sage green linens. All hand pinned, the sash was a fabulous detail to the table settings. The lush pink peonies are the jewels of early summer's harvest - almost every bride's dream flower! Florals desgined by Breath of Spring.

Pine Lake with its stunning views of the water has a ceiling that is relatively low, so it seemed best to keep the florals at a low elevation and let the head table be the only table set apart with a tall elevated piece - making it the center jewel of the reception room! The placement of the head table is always important to pay attention to, and in this case, the bride and groom were seated in the center of their guests - everyone loves to be able to see the head table and to have a view of the bride and groom - for they are indeed the stars of this special day!

Once the toasts were given, the meal enjoyed, there was dancing to be done and all loved the sounds of the Larry King Orchestra from Chicago who kept the dance floor filled the entire night! Sparty, the MSU mascot, made a quick appearance and the college crowd gathered to cheer him on!

After all is said and done on these special days, the memories live for years with the help of the photos by Ray Anthony Photography. It is the careful attention to details on every front that makes for a flawless day that family and friends remember forever.
